The article says the city built a water processing plant to help remove stuff including PCBs from the river flow in 2014, before the suit started in 2016.
It's not enough, but let's consider the $160 million as repaying the city for that initial capital expenditure.
🤭 Pitiful.
Were they? What happened??
Yep. Does an economic system that rewards infinite growth make sense on a planet with finite resources?
I've got a co-worker who wrapped his in iridescent vinyl... Like it wasn't ostentatious enough 🙄
Are you sure? Think critically.
It's tough everywhere I guess. Countryside is quiet, but there's no shoulder in some curvy spots, and some drivers didn't want to wait to pass.
I ride almost everywhere, but that does sound quite risky. Plenty of spots like that in the US as well when you're in the countryside, unfortunately.
The ones I met at my current job are both laid back, the journey(wo)man is a kind older church-going lady who likes pink work gloves while working on 3ph 480 lines, the apprentice is my age and speaks softly but has a lot of excellent tattoos and probably dirt bikes.
So iunno. Other than being good and reliable electricians, they may be crazy in different ways, but I like em both.
Nice job, looks like fun.
Q for you: what grease did you pick, as it's important.
The generation is tricky too, vast majority of it is actually sourced from fossil fuels 😑

Ugh. Just ugh.
Felt the same, both about her and Newsom.
I'm on CalyxOS, it works great. Locked bootloader, ability to block connection of devices when screen is locked (defeating cellebrite's method of choice), work profiles and firewalls etc.
I'm actually more interested in those shiny individuals..
Probably how much plastic we use. Back in the days of this ad, stuff still came in glass.
All the disposable nonsense seemed to sharply rise in use afterwards. Everyone remembers the line from The Graduate, "get into plastics"..
Anyone have input here?
I'm trying to decide which I like, yammie noob had a cool vid comparing the two with the xsr seemingly on top, but spec-wise, the z900 should be wild. I'm aware there are tune and exhaust kits to wake the undertuned z900 up.
I like spirited riding, but mostly on straights as I roar off to a campsite in the mountains. What do you folks think?

Hey there, I'm looking for an alternative to Google pay that'll allow me to use NFC payments etc. Thoughts?
I don't have a Google account, nor am I interested in opening one.
E: Just to clarify, the payment part would be convenient, more annoying is how I don't get to use a single place for my subway/gym/ticketmaster passes.

What a way to start the day. Had a spare, so it added a few minutes to my morning. Carefully cleaned the dust from around the plug, swapped, started and rode.
NBD, but what the fuck?

Love this guy.
Some interesting ideas on reducing the time to decrypt certain ciphered info, in spite of axolotl's large key-size.
How's the weather up there for riding? Not afraid of water, just careful with it.

Hey everyone.
I built an mk3s+ from its kit form successfully, tested a few PLA prints with the stock 0.4 nozzle.
I've set prusaslicer to use a 0.6 nozzle now that I've upgraded, and am using PETG. Prints look pretty bad, in spite of calibrating z-offset etc.
If you were doing something like this for the first time, what would your setup steps be like?
To be specific, using a diamondback 0.6 nozzle, matterhackers PETG at 235c.
Issues I'm seeing are a really bad loss of detail, lots of stringing, etc.
eta: added a photo of a moderately post-processed part. Notice how rough the top surface looks, there's a disconnect between perimeter loops, etc.
