Paint.net is great but it doesn't even come close to 80% the functionality of photoshop. It's more like 10%. The plugins are interesting but fairly limited in what they can do.
I like to use paint.net for simple edits like cropping because of how lightweight it is, but as soon as I need to do any substantial image manipulation or drawing I'm opening photoshop. Paint.net will just hold you back. It doesn't support some of the most common and basic features like masks, brushes, the pen tool and gradients.
Tarantino is one of the few directors who doesn't give a shit about making a safe movie with all the sharp edges carefully removed like so many others and I hope he never stops. It's absolutely insane that purely based on that you assume him to be a sex offender. Guilty until proven innocent.

Hecto is used in NL for road marks. You'll find a sign every hectometer on the highway. Makes it easy to tell where you are.

If you could uninstall edge one could end up in a situation where there are zero browsers installed, which is extremely user unfriendly. Unlike Linux, Windows tries to accommodate any kind of user.
With enough know-how you can absolutely remove edge. They just don't make it easy. Which is a good thing.
