For the people coming in asking what app for Lemmy. You don't need it. Lemmy is great on a mobile browser.
  • Sorry but that's not true at all. Lemmy's UI feels very unfinished/amateur project like. Even the jerboa app, which is from one of the dev, improves the mobile UI experience greatly compared to just the web version.

For Mobile users buttons should usually be bigger. But e.g. the comment collapse button is very tiny and I need to concentrate to press it correctly on mobile.

Andrew Tate charged with rape and human trafficking

Influencer Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan, and two others have been charged in Romania with rape, human trafficking, and forming a crime group to sexually exploit women.

The indictment alleges the group was formed in 2021 to commit human trafficking in Romania, the US, and the UK, recruiting seven victims with false promises of love and marriage.

The case, expected to take several years, is awaiting inspection by a Romanian judge before proceeding to trial.

Why do some people still have hope for Reddit?
  • I guess because there are a lot of people who just don't care. Look at Twitter, Musk could do what he wants Twitter still has a big number of users.

Also reddit has a huge and very active community. This is very hard to replace.

  • What's with the schism between lemmygrad and beehaw?
  • Good question. But I guess only the beehaw admins know the answer to that. But from my understanding so far they would only silence you if you actively spread negativity - but I might be wrong.

  • What's with the schism between lemmygrad and beehaw?
  • Ah got it, ok sorry I misunderstood you. But yes, this sounds believable. As I understand they have a very clear vision what is wrong with social media and believe that only very strict moderation can fix these problems. If this is right or wrong I cannot really say...

  • What's with the schism between lemmygrad and beehaw?
  • I'm also new here so I cannot really answer your question. But are you saying Beehaw leans far right? Because I thought they wanted to foster a very welcoming and supportive environment (even disabling downvotes) and I thought they even blocked some instances which are too right for them?

  • What is the most WRONG thing a teacher, professor, or school book told you?
  • Was rather showing than telling and not just to me but everyone. But my geography teacher was doing a picture show of his hikes (don't even remember where). And then he comes to one image where he is showering in the mountains, completely naked.

Before this pic, he only stayed on each slide for a couple seconds, but on this one, he stayed what felt like eternity before saying something like "hehe, the girls should probably look away now".

Felt like the dude was a pervert who just wanted us to show his nudes...
