I pay for gigabit and only see 200mbps max but I don't see my neighbors... Fiber someday? 🤞
I discovered today that one of the touchpad connections on the midplate is faulty. This morning the touchpad completely stopped working no matter the OS. I ended up moving the touchpad and I'm back in business. I'm currently on Ubuntu 22.04 and it seems to be stable. Hopefully FW will send me a replacement midplate.
Thanks for confirming! The keyboard was working intermittently and the touchpad stopped working completely this morning. 22.04 here I come
I installed kubuntu 24.04 yesterday and everything worked flawlessly. Today if it would boot the touchpad didn't. I reinstalled and it wouldn't boot at all. Just a little bit ago I installed Ubuntu 24.04 and everything seemed fine until I installed KDE. Now it won't boot.
Did you find a solution? Tomorrow I may install 22.04.
I fired up my jellyfin vm about 4mts ago and love it!
From what their website says it now works with android auto.
I just switched to bitwarded from keepass and love it!
Probably a dozen times before I pulled the trigger.
This is the one I'm looking at currently, but I'm having a hard time with the price... https://www.amazon.com/ELS-PET-Cleaning-Automatic-Protection/dp/B0C2BVTFDP I would love to see what others are using and what they like and don't like about it.
What carrier? Maybe something has changed.
From want I've seen and read, you need the carrier specific apps and settings baked into the os.
It does both heat and ac. We went with a horizontal system that takes about 1/2 acers since we have plenty of land. The system installed was less than 15k with the tax credits, but that was a few years ago.
I love my geothermal water heater! With a family of 5 and 3 full bathrooms we never run out of hot water. We planned to go tankless until we went geothermal.
I had to stop running custom roms a few years ago since I need wifi calling. I hate the bloat but where I live now doesn't have cell service.
The laptop I'm replacing is 13 years old. I'm hopeful that the framework laptop last just as long or longer.
Thank you for the detailed post! I have a really old display link usb dock and an USB c lenovo dock for work that I may play with once I get my hands on the FW16.
As much as I don't want my laptop to be delayed, I would rather wait and it be right.
I would hope not. Can you reseat the top cover?
Now I need to patiently wait for Q2 2024...
I'm looking for some input on docking stations. I want 3-4 monitors and am currently looking at the Plugable TBT4-UDZ. Does anyone here use this dock with Linux?
I'm pretty new to the FW community. Is there a good spot to fine ideas and mods?
