  • As someone who suffers from anxiety, the poops give me more anxiety and lack of access to bathrooms gives me anxiety which causes me to poop even more. It's a never ending cycle.

  • And they even got rid of our damn plastic straws! Can't even enjoy my drinks without having to suck on a flaccid tube. I'd prefer if they made the lid paper instead.

  • Avocados on the house
  • I accidentally bought a bag of avocados for the price of 1 avocado at self checkout. I couldn't find the bag of avocados in the menu so I just selected avocado in the menu.

It turns out the bag of avocados come with a barcode to scan it 🤦

  • What's a skill that's taken for granted where you live, but is often missing in people moving there from abroad?
  • I took swimming classes at my local YMCA after I was able to afford a membership as a young working adult. I was 25 at the time and in my swimming class, I was taught by someone that was much younger than I was and received very odd looks from either the young kids or the elderly folks at the swimming pool learning how to swim.

Despite the odd looks, I kept at it and finally learned how to swim!! I used to be deathly afraid of the water and never went in the deep end as I never knew how to stay afloat.

One thing that was the most difficult to unlearn as an adult was keeping myself perpendicular to the pool as I always relied on being able to stand on the floor pool to keep myself from sinking.

I also realized that chlorine destroys your ability to see the next day after being in the pool. My vision stayed blurry for days and not even my glasses were able to fix it. So if anyone reading wants to learn how to swim at a later age, definitely invest in swimming goggles.

  • If you ask for "tea" at a restaurant, what happens and where do you live?
  • I read this comment and choked my nestea I'm drinking right now for breakfast. 29g of sugar... It just tastes so good, I'm addicted. Plz send help!

I had an iced cap from Timmies for the first time in 7 years and I don't recall it being so sweet. But you are right, everything is fully loaded with sugar nowadays

Alberta woman dies after being denied transplant for refusing to get COVID vaccine
  • I don't understand this logic. It had to be quickly developed because the entire world population was affected by COVID. We're talking about millions of deaths. Economies halted, everything literally went stand still and you expected the vaccine to take 3 years to develop?

I'm sure it might have sounded scary to have medicine developed so rapidly but I don't think you realize the scale at how it was developed because so many countries and companies dumped a ton of money researching a cure out the door as fast as possible.

Sure there are side-effects but in that case the side effects were worth having versus the deaths of high risk individuals.

    Edit: reduced sensationalism
