What are some underrated Android features that users should try?
  • In developers options, turning the animation speeds to .5x

Don't know if that's really an underrated feature, but would like to mention it anyway. Everything feels much faster after that. Pretty much the first thing i do when i have a new phone.

  • How to get rid of this pop-up suggestion? (Nothing Phone 2a, Android 15)
  • Yeah...haha. You know, i used to have auto rotation turned on a lot before, but for whatever reason Nothing decided to remove that 'feature' for their launcher, lockscreen and settings app... So, now auto rotation is really uncomfortable to use.

I know a lot of people like this feature, which i can understand, but i think it is annoying as hell to have yet another thing popping up in my screen i didn't ask for...

    Tablets and smartwatches.. Why?
  • Tablet - if you don't need laptop power, but still would like to use some laptop like features (keyboard+mouse, Dex/desktop mode etc), or simply enjoying a bigger screen.

Watch - There are SOOO many different watches out there nowadays, with SOOO many different purposses. Some are really nothing like Samsung's , Apple's or Google's "tracking devices".

I got myself a somewhat pricey Garmin because i want to get more in shape (i have cardiac arrythmia, having troubles sleeping, depression and some bad health things happened in my family lately). Do i get tracked (assuming you mean the data farming thingies..)? Probably, a bit at least. But having a tool with many, many build-in tools that helps me get in shape and gives me some insights, has pretty much 'unlimited' battery life (solar version) and has some features that are just 'handy/fun' to have? I'd give up a little of my 'personal info' for that.

And, with many optional features, open-source apps and OS's, devices don't always are 'tracking devices'. Put in a little effort and things can be pretty sweet!

  • Samsung Galaxy A16 4G review
  • Sadly the storage upgrade isn't gonna justify the total package here. These specs are really not going to live up to the promised 6 years. I think Scamsung just used the "6 years" as a slogan, where they can get away with selling bad hardware they have too much left off.

  • So it got even bigger, they removed the beloved headphone jack and kept everything else basically the same? Even the same crappy G99? Man... I guess 6 years updates is nice, but even then this is a very, very mediocre "upgrade".

  • Found this when snorkling in Greece about 17 years ago when i was just a kid. Always wondered what it was... Anyone an idea? Almost certainly made of metal and i think it is hollow on the inside.
  • I can't confirm if that's true, but that is actually oddly interesting. Maybe the downvotes because... It sounds so weird?: adding trash to water is bad, but removing trash can also be bad?

It is really a headscratcher for me too, would like to read some info about it if you can share some sources?
