Those are your only "leftist" ideas? 😅 But no, if it's still uncertain, it bears examination until it's not anymore, one way or another, and that goes for every idea.
females are an electric light in the life of men close touch of a female can soothe the most wild beast
This was poetry. ❤️
But women are just people in the end, you don't really believe they're particularly backstabbing or treasonous, right? Some are confused and might hurt you too in their confusion, but that's why you gotta be discerning so you don't give your heart to a careless person. Too much hope can blind you, but too much negativity/fear won't let you get out of the house.
Some people are just large toddlers...
Of course! Mark 10:18. One must remember Jesus was a miraculous prophet of God (not dissimilar to Moses, but his birth was more "special", more akin that of Isaac), a monotheist that constantly referenced "the law and the prophets" (several callbacks to Solomon in particular whom I also hold in high regard, primarily because of Ecclesiastes) and how he wasn't here to break the law but to enforce it... he wasn't followed because he wasn't a "Jew" and it was a new and revolutionary religion he had established, he was followed because he WAS one and remembered/knew what it meant to be one in earnest. What Rome/Paulian tradition did afterwards with the image of Jesus, the creation of a entirely separate dogma in which 'God' is actually a pantheon and also partly FLESH AND BONE/anthropomorphic (following their pagan/polytheistic traditions, and because if not the empire might be reticent to accept such drastic changes), is something else.
There's no "perfect" man, not even the prophets can be with all their God-given information and their great character, as no man is omniscient nor fully in control of themselves. And Jesus goes even harder, saying he's not even "good", because such a strict category only belongs to God. We can only be "good enough", and that's for God to decide.
Because "f u, I got mine" (and the other side of the coin too: "if I got fugged, so will you") is the one true creed in American society, and everyone that opposes it is a heretic/commie.
If they care for you and love you back, that shouldn't be a problem, right? Life is, and I'm quoting Solomon here, ultimately meaningless/vain/empty/vapor, what better life could we have than to love and be loved? Not everyone is a prophet/disease curing scientist/victorious revolutionary, the rest of us can focus on just enjoying our lives wisely (fearing God and keeping his commandments = being a good person in earnest), loving and being loved, as it fills us way better than food and shopping can.
I'm sorry you're in such circumstances, yeah, it's kinda shit... But hopefully you're wrong about being undesirable and someone good and not too old comes along! Maybe it could start online? Anyway, sorry again, God bless you.
Low quality as in 'the visual spectacle is better in this Hollywood movie than in this other one'? Most people I know have no ear for dialogue, only eyes for explosions and titties (and soyfacing at characters from recognizable IPs) and sometimes, only sometimes, cinematography, so for the vast majority of people I've met the budget for CGI and cute/popular actors and actresses is directly responsible for how enjoyable the experience will be.
If not then no, not necessarily. Hollywood makes maybe 3 movies a year that don't insult my intelligence and have at least enough depth that a serious conversation can arise from its themes. They have all the money in the world but, for me, the quality of 'pop movies' has steadily declined since the early 00s.
I hate them all so much the last one I used and made an account for was Facebook, and that account has stayed entirely unused for about a decade. I can only handle so much stupidity at a time and I hate being disappointed by my friends' uncooked, ignorant opinions so I'd rather be blind and deaf to what they do and say online, I just judge them for what they say and do to me directly...
I don't think Reddit counts as 'social media', it's a message board, a place for pseudonymous debate, but not what I would consider a social media site.
That's Jesus' "why do you call me good? Only the Father is good". You can never be perfect nor infallible, of course, but maybe you'll be good enough and God will approve of you and that's all we can work towards. No need to use this understanding to give yourself moral allowances though: let your mistakes be mistakes and not plans for immorality.
"Yo, you could be at least a little happier and grateful about it, you know I could be {doing something else that I actually enjoy}, I'm just doing this for you!"
Why won't you try your luck at love again? Buying a house is easier done with a partner who works too...
That I actually do have a bad temper and do get angry very easily, that my anger does not justify my verbal/physical reactions (nor was I 'right' just because I was angry) and that these reactions will hurt those I care about/those I don't care about but still didn't deserve my violence, which is a surefire way to end up in jail (perhaps) and in Hell (more likely).
For everyone who has similar issues, try to remember two things:
- Ambiguous behaviour does not mean aggressive behaviour.
- The flesh is weak. If you, in your anger, start a fight and perhaps just push someone and they crack their head and die/lose function, you'll never live it down, you will always be the guy who killed someone in anger (and not even righteous anger, you're just temperamental). And it can happen very quickly too! A good man cannot live with that, only a hell-bound one can, so either you'll be oppressed by your guilt or you'll realize you've lost your humanity and you're a full on psycho.
You're not cautious, you're paranoid and fearful to the point it's a bit concerning for your mental health (although the suicidal ideation tells me the whole situation is more than just a bit concerning). You know this ain't normal, you know that's not how people are meant to live their lives, you know this cannot continue for long before you either snap at/hurt someone who didn't mean any harm or your mind breaks.
I know living in the USA cannot help your mental stability but it's not a favela, it really ain't that dangerous. Maybe moving to a smaller city or a town would work? Sometimes it's easier to change our circumstances than to change ourselves, and sometimes the former allows the letter as well.
In personal experience. Believing the way I and many others have certainly helps you check yourself before you wreck yourself/your surroundings constantly, and ends in having the self-respect and self-esteem that comes from being a responsible, helpful, peaceful member of society (well, we try, but the better you get at controlling your anger or your nerves or whatever and being easier on the world, the better you feel). It fills the void that shopping, hooking up, using drugs and consuming mindless entertainment eventually fail at filling. Idk how to make people realize it besides exemplifying IRL and yapping about it, and I don't think anyone can do anything more about it either.
The message of Jesus goes in quick (but people don't read and just listen to some dude in a funny hat/robe...) and has the power to bring people together to work for a better future, but yeah, people have to do their part and we're all fallible and have at least some moments of heightened stupidity and emotional turbulence. But I think it's better to actually believe that A, B and C are immutably wrong (wanton destruction, adultery, excessive greed, etc etc) than to believe everything is negotiable, that good and bad are cultural in nature (it's just lazy thinking too tbh), cause the perceptive, empathetic ones would've known it regardless and would've acted that way whether they could express it as an ideology or not, and the lesser among us in prosociality need the push.
My mom got me a copy of Mein Kampf when I was little (I asked, I was curious about what this Hitler guy used to yap about) and she never even questioned it, lol. She really had faith in little ol' me. 😅
