I don't understand why he doesn't just produce the mountains of evidence that he's been holding onto since 2020. I mean, that would completely exonerate him...and it might even result in Smartmatic having to pay him a huge settlement, just because of all the hardships he's faced being the only one who knows the truth about all that election fraud.

Why is he so determined to go down in flames like this, when all he has to do to vindicate himself and Trump, is just to put that suitcase full of evidence in front of this very judge? Now's his chance. Why does he hesitate?

You could even say, that was the plan all along.

It's like they're actively trying to do as much damage as possible, to literally everything.

Can we not just use the original definition, instead? It worked fine for decades, until right-wingers decided to reinvent it in order to push their propaganda.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that they should "always" be prosecuted for their crimes...only that the Supreme Court should have closed that loophole. There are many ways they could have drawn a distinction between justified actions and those that should be prosecuted.

Instead, they ruled that all "official acts" should be exempt from repercussions. That didn't just leave the loophole open...it guaranteed it could be abused, without consequence.
