I want to apologize if I offended any PoC, I didn’t read the greentext correctly and “basketball American” slipped through. I’ve tried to keep my posts as clean as possible and will continue to do so. It’s entirely my mistake and I’m sorry.

  My guy, even I’m not going to defend it. I thought it meant something different as so much of the greentext seemed absurd for the sake of absurdity. I’ve posted several greentexts without racism or sexism, so it’s far from impossible. Just because something is ubiquitous doesn’t make it okay. Now I’m stuck deciding between deleting the post or keeping it up with an apology to acknowledge my mistake.

- Lemmy is incredibly PC, even more so than much of Reddit. For instance, it prevents you from posting the n word in any form- it’s filtered and removed automatically.
- Lemmy is like if you took regular r/politics and r/antiwork posters and gave them exclusivity to an entire platform
