My hands were shaking so hard that I was having a hard time getting dressed,” said Daniels, who told jurors that she had gone to Trump’s Lake Tahoe hotel room under the belief that they would be getting dinner after meeting there.
The one thing that always gets me with these stories is that it's always a hot teenager or 20-something woman...and an old, rich, (and/or famous) unattractive guy. The woman always claims "I thought we were going to do anything other than have sex!". You're hot, he's old/fat/rich, and horny. We all knew you were going there to fuck him and get something out of it for putting up with that. It's a business transaction. I'd say this narrative is the most common in the decades old rape allegations that have been popping up over the past decade. I remember hearing one about a 16 year old girl that went off with Aerosmith (or another huge, all dude band) when they were in their prime and like 40 years later said "he groped me, and pinned me in a phone booth, etc.." what the fuck did you think was gonna happen lady? That you were going to go back to their hotel and play Go Fish? They only want one thing from you.
Actually it isn't it's just common sense, which seems to be severely lacking these days. I agree that the whole "well why was she wearing that" argument is dumb, women should be able to wear whatever they want but they should also be aware of what attention their attracting.
Would you go walking through a bad neighborhood late at night wearing flashy expensive clothes and jewelry, and counting out hundred dollar bills? I'm a dude and I definitely wouldn't, that's just asking to get robbed.
If you don't want to be sexually assaulted don't go somewhere private with a known sleazeball or group of them!
See how easy that is? No one takes responsibility for their actions anymore, it's always the other person's fault.
You know, even if the victim is stupid and naive it’s still not all right to abuse that.
There are always going to be blonde gold-digger bimbos around old rich fucks but it doesn’t make it all right to fuck them without consent.
I knew this was gonna be massively down voted but you can't place 100% of the blame on the famous people. Don't put yourself in a bad situation if you don't want something bad to possibly happen. It's like walking through a bad neighborhood at night wearing expensive clothes and jewelry, and flashing wads of cash. Then some robs you at gunpoint and beats the shit out of you, then you complain that you did nothing wrong and it was the robbers fault, which is entirely true, but if you didn't wanna possibly be robbed you shouldn't have put yourself in that position in the first place. It's like no one takes responsibility for their actions anymore, it's always the other person's fault.
"I should be allowed to walk around with gold chains and rings all over, wearing a $5,000 suit counting hundred dollar bills in Camden, NJ at 3 AM without the fear of getting attacked!"
There's always going to be shitty people in the world.
