With rising costs everywhere, this is another opportunity for Apple to take another chunk of money.
With a base markup of 119%, Apple could probably hit as high 140% without much backlash from loyalists.

As long as they don’t touch the base model, I don’t have any issue with them increasing the price of the pro. The day I can’t get a new iPhone for $800 or less is the day I find a different phone to use.
5 0 ReplyThat’s funny since the base iPhone 12 and 13 were $829, then the 14 dropped back to $799.
They go up and down, just mostly up $50 every few generations. The base model that is according to MacTracker.
Which the iPhone 11 was $699. So the jump from 11-12 was $129. Can’t remember if there was that much of a stink about it but probably was.

I am really not sure Apple can do another bump in Europe. Compared to the US the prices already increased significantly the past few years.

I'm guessing the pro models are a much smaller market share, so they're trying to get a bigger bang for their buck.
