The revamped Republican Party turns Trump’s lies into a loyalty test
By checking for fealty to the false “stolen” narrative at the outset, Trump’s allies aren’t simply weeding out people who disagree, they’re weeding out people who won’t acquiesce to the Trumpian approach to reality. They’re not just getting rid of people who won’t go along on this one subject; they’re getting rid of people who won’t go along in general.
This is exactly how cult leaders operate.
You have to reject the same reality as the cult, or you're part of the "out" group.
Dumb and desperate enough to believe the lies, meek enough to go with the flow, or corrupt enough to perpetuate the lies in hopes of wealth and power - 2024's Republican Party. The conservatives who don't fit one of those three templates either left long ago or are in the process of leaving following the primaries.

Sometimes you just have to let things fail.
They may not fail on their own; polling shows Trump as having a decent chance of winning in the general election this fall. It takes actively working to stop the Republicans from holding power. That means checking to make sure your voter registration hasn't been purged, volunteering, andif you can afford it, providing financial support to the Biden campaign and Democrats in close house and close senate campaigns.

Terrifying, but I also know the election deniers have been tanking elections that the GOP should’ve easily won.
That's why they're also trying to manipulate the voting. E.g. making it really difficult to vote, or suddenly removing loads of people.
