I'm not Australian but I found this: https://www.clove.co.uk/products/fairphone-4. From the last comment there it seems like there is no import tax? Might have to ask them how it works for warranty and replacement parts too.
Also important to check for mobile network compatibility. I know there can be problems with that too.
Importing is your best bet.
