The state GOP has just $53.81 cash on hand, with $335,781.36 in debt, according to its latest filings with the FEC.
Is there a possibility that trump has directed so many donations to himself that he has actually taken a substantial bite out of the usual republican donations that keep these local parties alive?
I was wondering just this. I wouldn't put it past Trump to fundraise based on this: "Minnesota's Republican party is broke thanks to the socialist Democrats! Contribute today to support make Minnesota great again! Donate in the next 8 hours for 1000x matching!" (In tiny print in the email: "1000x matching only for the first $1 contributed overall. 99% of donations go to a Trump super PAC with the reminder going to the Minnesota GOP.")
