Ten years ago today, ‘The Lego Movie’ gave Hollywood an early template for how to adapt a toy line into a successful—and critically acclaimed—film

I think it was a big mistake to use Will Ferrell in Barbie.

Every time he was onscreen I was thinking about how this is another Toy Movie and if they were going to try to explicitly tie them together or something.

Drew me out of the movie as the absurdity made it hard to stay focused on the plot in the first place.
