Goodness, I can't imagine only ONE vacation per year! Buy a single family home and rent it at twice the cost of the mortgage to make ends meet. It's hard work not doing anything all year!

Single moms these days need to start pulling themselves up by their bootstraps. What I would do if my rent was tripled, is just reduce my avocado toast intake by 30% and go on a nice vacation with all the additional money I saved up.
Ya gotta do yourself in by the most property damaging means, that way the landlord really feels it where it counts when it comes to cleanup and repair.
