Im just wondering, is this some sort of anti leftist community? I thought it was about making fun of tankies, instead of framing anything not capitalist as extremism like in your dumb ass comment.
If you just want to do some thinly veiled leftist bashing circlejerk, you do you I guess, but at least then I can stop bothering dropping by here
- Are we pretending that the instance whose name is a play on Leningrad is not extremists?
  Would you be equally charitable to an instance called "Nacht der lemmy messen" or "Credere Obbedire Postare"?
  They're tankies and proud to be, which is no less extremist from a liberal point of view
  
  I am simply arguing that there is a distinct difference between leftists / socialists / communists and the authoritarian sycophants and war crime apologists that constitute the average tankie.
  The former are economic and societal beliefs with plenty of merit, the other is jacking off to Stalin and unironically believing the fact that China is committing ethnic cleansing on its minorities is somehow a false flag conspiracy performed on chinese soil by the evil western imperialists.
- A lot of us are actual leftists who have actual knowledge of actual contemporary philosophy and see what ML philosophy does to the growing teenage brain.
  The liberation of workers will never pass through autocracy. It's a shame democratic socialism and social democracy are treated with such hostility across lemmy.
- Well, if you look at the post, the mods of lemmy.ml do end up proving Thorny right.
  
  He went to their community, called them the same as literal nazis and religious fascists, dared them to ban him and now acts like that was an extreme or unwarranted response.
- It's not supposed to be an anti-leftist community but there are some hardcore folks who think anything left of American Neoliberalism is extreme.
- This community is dedicated to documenting hate speech, conspiracy theories, apologia/revisionism, and general tankie behaviour across the fediverse.
- I feel the same, some decent actual red fash content here but a lot of people just pulling at straws.
