ICE is currently doing a raid in Los Angeles' MacArthur Park. They are using everything - including the National Guard and men on horseback.

A journalist thinks they might have been filming an ad.
There's speculation this CBP pony show is actually for a DHS ad and not a sweep, given how few bystanders appear to be around and the presence of internal press people. If so, that requires a permit. I've reached out to the LA film permitting office to see if DHS has one.

It was over quickly considering what a massive show of force they made. Also - they didn't seem to make any arrests.

Major speculation that this raid was a photo op, but it’s worth noting that activists who were tipped off showed up to the park early to throw up flyers and comb through the park to alert neighbors
A full soccer field that was active this morning was completely cleared by the time ICE arrived
I'm seeing reports from activists that they knew they were planning this big raid for a while and tipped people off, would make sense there were no arrests if that was the case unless it was just a photo op.
