Granted the text needs cleaned up then, but if the Brazilian Portuguese translation was correct how is that "spitting in the face of your international audience"? I know the article says the translation could be wrong, but is it wrong? The example they give is for a different game that had translation mismatches, but not this game.
The reason people noticed is they asked ChatGPT instead of using Google Translate like a normal person and they left in the "Sure! The line in that language says this" part. Ditto for the background text.
It's super janky and should never have shipped, but the "spitting in the face of" thing is way out of proportion. I say as "international audience".
