Wow Max spun. Haven't seen that in a while. Had a strong lap earlier so he's good.
Albon making it into SQ3 by the skin of his teeth.
6 0 ReplyEven though it's another Max pole, top 4 separated by a tenth is pretty dang exciting. COTA delivers an exciting set of qualis, per usual!
6 0 ReplyBetter showing by Aston Martin today. Both making it to SQ2.
Strong SQ1 for Albon as well. Hopefully he can keep it up all the way to SQ3.
4 0 ReplyDoes the camera in Verstappen's car have some kind of stabilisation? Is that new? I don't think I have seen that before. Looks cool
4 0 ReplyIt was introduced 2-3 races ago.
I like it, but the halo does block most of the view ahead. I wonder if it's possible to have this tech on the overhead camera?
7 0 ReplyI haven't seen the last couple of races haha that explains why I haven't seen it yet
I like how it shows how banked some corners are, but I agree that the halo blocks most of the view

Introduced in Suzuka on Hamilton's car. It's on the left of the intake I think? The camera has a larger FOV than we see, and software uses the horizon as a reference to create a frame that rotates as opposed to having the camera gimbal.
3 0 ReplySounds interesting! I don't know much about video production but I supposed it was digital. Thanks for the explanation!
