Lost my psychiatrist and feels like i have to start all over again
I made the mistake of telling the billing department "i haven't had work in two years, sorry, I can't pay this 700 dollar bill." They cut me off, and now im switching to a sliding scale place. Feel hopeful about the new doc i booked with, but its still frustrating that I have to go through all the stuff that comes with that.
I can get my records transferred over, yeah, but still. Death to Amerikkka and death to Amerikkkan health care.
What the hell, do you not qualify for medicaid?
Ive tried to get on it several times but nobody has ever followed up so I usually just dont pay. Fortunately it hasn't really been too much of an issue since 1) I haven't needed a physical doctor, and 2) ive just been getting refills on current meds.
I kinda have given up on medicaid and just deal with it? But I need to talk to someone about psych med adjustments so now I actually gotta have a proper appointment
That sucks but sounds about right. Did you try applying online or just calling or whatever? I got mine super quick through the online portal but did have to do a phone call for my food stamps.
Whatever you decide to do I hope the sliding scale practitioner works out. I feel like people who offer that are probably more in touch and compassionate than those who don't
