Do you keep your phone in your right or your left pocket?

I'm right handed, but I keep my phone in my left pocket since I like to be able to pull out my phone to check the map or msgs while using my primary hand for another activity.

When texting, I usually use both hands but certainly can type with just my left hand.

Where do you keep your phone & why?

  • Wallet and Keys in left pocket, phone and everything else in right.

I never use the back pocket.

  • Right handed, right pocket 95% of the time. Occasionally I catch myself using the left pocket if for whatever reason storing it in the right requires an awkward movement.

  • Right handed, phone front left, keys front right, wallet back right. It's a perfect system. Not sure about other countries but in the US the key start is always on the right side of the steering column and I unlock doors with my right hand.

  • I keep my phone in my right pocket and keys in the left pocket. I started this habit in high school in 1998 when I got my first phone and just have carried the habit along, it is the most convenient for me.

  • None. It's in my messenger bag, or sometimes in a small belt bag of some sort. Why? Because I don't need constantly access my phone as I seldom use it ;)

Thinking about it, I tend to keep nothing in my pockets.

  • Right handed. My wallet is in my left pocket, since anything that I need to do with it will involve holding it with my left and doing the thing with my right.

Both my phones (home and work) are in my right, since I can carry out basic functions on them one handed.

  • I'm right-handed and carry my phone in a belt pouch on my left. I take it out and hold it with my left hand while I tap or type with my right. I do all of my typing with a swype-type keyboard, so I just use my right hand for that too.

  • Right handed, right back pocket (front if my trousers don't have back pocket). Or more often in my handbag.

  • Left handed, right pocket if I use pockets. One hand to hold and unlock, the other to primarily use the screen, left index, right thumb. Back in the day when my phone was smaller than my hand I would have it in my left, and use two thumbs if typing.

  • Front left trouser, unless I'm on a long walk in which case shirt pocket for the radio.

Also using Gravity Screen so it can't wake up and pocket dial etc.
