Instead of an impenetrable wall of pikes and high velocity slugs, you get pocket local air dominance. basically making close air support pointless and heavy vehicles a waste

That's why there's poverty, hunger, and homeless that exists in the world - so you could sustain multiple millions on every frivolous last bit of killing people for sport and looting.
