Sorry if this starts a struggle session. But I'm here to complain about
stressing over Venezuela's "fraudulent" election and corruption. I feel like the pod has had a few lib takes.
- No offense but they are radlibs aka “anarchists”. They never had good takes. And if one thought they had, that’s because you once had “bad takes” but now have evolved beyond their stunted half-socialist worldview. That was the same case with breadtubers like early Contrapoints as well, my own rising political consciousness quickly overtook her own, and she meandered back into liberal chauvinism.
- I really enjoyed their early episodes but they got podcast disease (lazy prep, laughing at their own lame jokes way too much) remarkably quickly imo. Also, Alice has had some incredibly bad takes over the years. I saw her storm out of a group chat over some very lukewarm pro-China takes one time.
  EDIT: there's a lot of legit criticism to be made of Maduro however!
  
  November is actively enrolled in a collegiate program and seeking a career in fake pig science. Seriously she's doing criminology lol.

- i think it's perfectly reasonable to criticise a govt that's continually going after the Communist Party which previously supported Chavez, tbh. they should rightfully be criticised for breaking the unity of the anti-imperialist camp in Venezuela by punching left. i don't listen to that podcast so maybe they're doing so in a lib, pro-imperialist way, though.
  
  Maduro did go after the PCV, he helped split it between pro and anti maduro factions. The anti-maduro faction called for his overthrow and gave an interview to a right-wing portuguese media outlet to criticize the portuguese communist party for not supporting foreign interference in venezuela.
  So I'm gonna go ahead and say, fuck THAT pcv
  
  Your critiques are probably right, but you're coming from the left. They occasionally critique Stalinism, and immediately did a pro Ukraine thing after the invasion (without any nuance).
  Obviously one shouldn't expect much from YouTubers. I'm just venting.
  
  If you arent Venezuelan and if its not done in a closed communist circle. What is being critical of x or y country good for? Other than doing free labor for the empire.
