Do be aware that this requires advanced protection mode to be enabled, and from everything I can tell, advanced protection mode is a Google specific feature and not on AOSP. So it would require having a Google account or Google Play services installed on the device to use it. Since I run LineageOS with no Google Apps, I probably won't get this.

Bars, clubs, and restaurants have had public chargers here and there for over a decade. Absolutely wild it took this long.

Already in Graphene and iOS.

Thinking about this a little bit, I realized that I practically never use my USB port for anything, and only rarely use it for charging. On Pixel, is there any app that will just disable the data features of the USB by default unless I explicitly turn it on?
I assume that a feature like that would eliminate vulnerability to tools like cellbrite.

- After using Graphene for a year it would be unthinkable to go back. Wild how good a product can be when it is designed with the interests of the user in mind, rather than viewing them as a resource to be harvested.

They just keep implementing features from Graphene OS without ever mentioning them.
- Back in my day they kept implementing features from CyanogenMod without mentioning them
- I think this is a feature of the newer Linux kernels. I could be mistaken though.
  
  That would probably not be a good feature on a PC.
- Well, if they steal ideas but not the implementation, why would they have to mention them? Either way I'd say upstreaming GrapheneOS features is a win-win for all, including GrapheneOS itself.
  
  Just to give credit where it's due.
- Google fired a lot of people from the Android team. I guess they are just stealing ideas and claiming Gemini gave them the code.
