Hiking through a dry river (arroyo)

Prime fossil hunting. We dated the folsom point culture by an arroyo find after flash floods exposed an ancient bison in the banks. I casually walked up one near Trinidad, Colorado and found a bunch of mediocre plant fossils. With proper tools I could have found a real gem in a few hours.
- Oh super interesting. Maybe I can find some of these tools around here. I probably can find remnants of the Apache-Mexican war around here too with a metal detector
