Evangelicals (who are massive Trumpers) are pro-Israel because a Jewish state is part of their end times beliefs (not to be confused with anything found in the Bible). They hate Jews otherwise.
People need to read summaries of “Left Behind” to understand what they believe to be coming.
Do not read “Left Behind” as it is racist and a terrible book.

In looking up a link, I see they indeed were drawing from Old Testament scripture to build their end times claims. I was told all this by a childhood friend whose church was teaching it. He was not shy about what happens to the Jews the minute Christ returns (they die first). Israel being established is part of the claims, but the next step is rebuilding the Temple. The Temple site is located on the spot where The Dome of the Rock sits. So it’ll be a problem to rebuild…
It sort of is. Their main inspiration is the “Left Behind” series which is loosely based on Revelations. It is a terrible book so read summaries.

This is their go-to. Do the exact opposite of the thing you're saying you're doing (because you know it's what your base wants to hear).
They know that these people will just believe it and never actually check (or if they do, not believe the reality).
