Eventually yes! As a programmer I've said since the beginning of my career than our ultimate job is to make ourselves obsolete.

This is a very interesting perspective.
Although I do think if we don't have a gigantic leap, AI will never replace programmers, but it sure as heck will make some stuff easier and faster for them.
