The cheapest way to get more food at a fast food restaurant is to actually tip for takeout
After working 60 hours this week, I will definitely devour the free onion rings and potato wedges, and dip them in the extra sauces I did not ask for, and absolutely enjoy the extra chicken wings you definitely accidentally tossed in there.
Another neat trick we used to pull during Uni was to snipe fast food joints which were nearing their closing time, because they usually dumped their stock on your plate so that they could close up faster. I always got about half an order extra (once got 12 crispy strips on an order of 8, the dude was literally stuffing them in the box).
That almost never happens, and if I wanted more food I would have just ordered it. I’m never tipping a cashier.
