My dream motorcycle to rebuild is a honda cb550!! Been in love with that bike for about 4 years 🤩
I've always wanted to do one too! Those engines look so cool
You're stunning.
Haha thanks I needed that! So are you!
Especially that one
Jesus, ye old 6 cylinder on a bike. At least it sat laterally to reduce torque influence.
Honda was showing off its design and engineering chops. Interestingly, it wasn't significantly wider than the CB900F (which outsold it) despite its higher displacement. To my knowledge, only Italian maker Benelli ever produced another inline 6, the Sei, but it was only made in 750 and 900cc versions.
BMW 1600 be like "Why does everyone keep forgetting about me?"
Fortnine did the same mistake...
I used to read jokes (mostly from before my time, but also on forums) about my '77 Suzuki GS with its 4-cylinder being a "sewing machine" because the parts were so small to fit that many cylinders in such a small engine. But 6 is even more impressive.
I love this generation so much, I have a CX and it's a dream.
I'd always imagined servicing and balancing 6 carburetors on the CBX would be a nightmare, but also imagined it'd be worth it haha
That's beautiful and great condition too!
Those six cylinders! ... what year is the bike?
Wow!
