11-Year-Old Texas Girl Bullied Over Family's Immigration Status Takes Her Own Life
A sixth grade girl took her life after classmates bullied her over her family's immigration status and threatened to contact ICE to deport her parents.
She didn't even tell her single mother. She probably didn't want to burden her more. That poor family.
But she did tell the school counselor multiple times. The school and that counselor failed that girl.
The idea of sixth graders threatening to call ICE on their peers is so heinously evil I cannot put it into words. This is the result of fascism. This is what indoctrinating children into racism and xenophobia does. It is a scar on humanity. Every single person who propagandizes this xenophobic racist vile hate ought to be tried and hung like was done at Nuremberg. The architects of genocide are conservative commentators. They are evil in its purest form.
The literal White House tweeted a video of a bunch of deportations with the caption ‘ASMR’ yesterday.
I underestimated how fast they’d be moving this term. They might actually get to the death camps at this rate.
I hope those who bullied her are left haunted by their actions for the rest of their lives. I hope those parents who raised those bullies get some kind of justice served, but I'm not holding my breath.
It all feels so hopeless to feel anger towards these people, but I can't help it. I hope they have long, pitiful lives filled to the absolute brim with misery.

Minors generally don't have any personal political compass, especially that young. Kids just fucking suck and put each other down as a matter of recourse. Probably something about seeking worth and belonging in their most vulnerable and formative years.
The racism is just a convenient vehicle for this. Maybe learned from their parents, increasingly common they learned it from the internet and other kids.
The school never notified the mother of the abuse even though it was so bad that the girl was seeing the counselor multiple times a week. Nice.
I can’t begin to understand how no one in that school thought to notify her mom. Fuck man. An 11 year old even thinking of taking their own life is horrifying.
