I'm generally not big on Sabby Sabs, but I'll give it a watch and react.
Just gave it a review. Honestly, spot on. Not sure why I had a bias against Sabby Sabs (it might be because @jimmydoreisalefty@lemmy.world promotes both her and Jimmy Dore at the same time, and Jimmy Dore is a documented turd/ schill).
This segment was very good and well put together, and most importantly, its not alone. The failure of the Democratic party, and Kamala Harris specifically, to address and humanize the Palestinian people and their supporters in the Uncommitted movement. Its why I say that Michigan is out if Kamala Harris doesn't change her policy on Israel (it might already be too late). Its so obvious on its face it should hardly need mentioning, but when we see the down votes on this thread and its obvious that most "liberal democrats" would rather keep their heads in the sand. Its really no different than it was when these same down-voters refused to address/ grapple with the fact that Biden was dying in the polls. Quite literally, the down-vote brigading, the refusal to address material evidence, and the centrality of their argument being "But Trump is worse". This entire strategy was demonstrated to fail under Joe Bidens failed candidacy and its now failing under Harris' soon-to-be-failed candidacy. If you are out there rhetorically advocating for this entire strategy: the failure of this Democratic campaign is on you.
And thats why I appreciate you so much @return2ozma@lemmy.world, because at least these cowards among us, who would rather stick their head in the sand rather than the difficult thing and right the ship demanding Kamala change her policy. At least, for the sake of posterity, these fools won't be able to feign ignorance, because for better or worse, the dissent and the criticism was present, it was documented, and demonstrated that this, cult-like, reality denying, abusive cohort, was not ignorant to these criticisms, but simply chose to ignore them. And its a big fucking deal because Harris will not win this election in light of these criticism, and if you are continuing to provide cover for a genocide, simply because its coming from team Blue, you aren't part of the problem: you are the definition of the problem.
