My guess is that it has to deal with the post title:
I typically preserve the orginal source's titles when making posts, so when you read this one it sounds like an ad
So editing the title for certain exceptions might be better as I believe that Mike's (from Gamesfromscratch) intention wasn't about selling Epic's service but to rather help game developers get some free assets to make games with.
P.D. has also received a report (which I've left for my fellow admins/mods to decide) for this post so this is probably the reason for the downvotes🤷♀️🤔
Alright, so nothing to do with the assets themselves then. I would be interested in having access to this for some planned experimentation with Godot towards the end of the year, and was wondering if the downvotes had anything to do with some huge red flags here I didn't know about :)
I'm also veeeeeeeeeery interested to see if they actually mean one click = one asset, so it's actually 17.000 or whatever clicks. I'm pretty sure they're not letting you download everything at once. Maybe some datahoarder somehwere is doing the good work of writing a script and the releasing it all on the high seas at once ...
