They changed one small line of dialogue? Game ruined, fuck Nintendo for letting Wö-Men ruin my childhood

— The same thing they always do: take something from the past that you love and hold dear and shit all over it. Shit all over what was once strong, and proud, and good. Shit all over your ancestry. Instead of King Bowser calling Kammy Koopa an "airhead" like he did in the original release, the new version of the game makes him call her a "lunkhead", instead. It's sickening.

I can't come up with a reason lunkhead would be less offensive than airhead, so I'm guessing this is a result of the game being remade for switch in Japanese and then retranslated, rather than just pulling the translated text from the old version, presumably because there have been changes in general to the game/it would be a pain in the arse.
- A lot of Nintendo remasters have done retranslating or merging of several languages' translation choices lately so it is a possibility
- Airhead is usually a gendered insult directed at women

  I think they did. There were a few game releases where they included a later version with all the dlc that others paid for. They just got mad because they paid for something that others how free

if they retranslate the stuff regarding Vivian's gender identity to be more faithful to the original Japanese script.

- I'd prefer it be faithful to the Italian version since that version was like actually empowering, while the Japanese one was kinda sussy about her. Either way better than just censoring her completly though.

- I think they just announced it in a direct today or yesterday, but I've been pretty sure it was coming for some time as not long ago Nintendo started cracking down on GameCube emulators indicating they were planning to put out more GameCube remakes. It's one of my all time favorite games too.
