Donald Trump Infringed ‘Electric Avenue’ By Using Song In Campaign Video, Judge Rules

Suggesting that he may appeal the ruling, Trump said, "and then we'll take it higher!"
(I'm so sorry.)
Why isn't the music industry bankrupting his campaign like he was some grandma whose grandkids downloaded a song from Napster while they were visiting?
Probably because these suits take forever. That was from something he did in 2020!
If he lives to be 150, he might actually start to see some real consequences finally catch up.
FS already responded but I’d like to add: a lot of artists condemn his campaign's use of music but sometimes it's not their choice. The rights can be held by a publisher/record label etc.
Still, the slow speed of courts is a bigger factor.
In fact, the vast majority of popular music is owned by 3 companies
Probably because almost all popular music is owned by 2 or 3 companies and just about everyone in charge of those play golf with Trump or someone who plays with him.
Many artists don't own their songs and the corporations that do generally like Trump.
