Essential hexbear listen, absolute genius album. If you're hesitant the first lines are "I've got a bone to pick with capitalism, and a few to break' and doesn't let off from there. It's a classic for a good reason and even if you don't like hardcore it's still amazing.
The lead singer, Dennis lyxzen went on to do the international noise conspiracy which had songs like 'capitalism stole my virginity'.
Also, this album defined punk music for a decade. There was mainstream punk before and after. Then the guy does the next band which had the same kind of sound as the strokes before the strokes. Occasionally we'll get artists that can see how trends are going and ride those waves. These guys did it twice.
Seriously, check this guy and his projects out. He surrounds himself with people that get it, and he's about as revolutionary as musicians can be.
They wanted inc to be: 'a cross between Elvis Presley and Che Guevara.'
I don't like international noise conspiracy. Also I read a few months back he had a heart attack, which seems really unfair for a dude who's been vegan and straightedge for either ever or at least almost 30 years based on what's public knowledge. Refused reforming to play fucking Coachella was a joke and I remember the statement they released when they broke up the first time:
Any time someone/group gets as big as them speaking the way they do, it makes me wonder if they're doing a bit to corner a market.
Capitalism WILL co-opt anything. Maybe they got caught up in it as well?
