Why don't non-Western countries bring up and harangue Western countries about their actions, both past and present?
I've realized that we keep hearing a never ending stream of diatribes from people like Biden, Kamala and Trump about foreign leaders and countries and I've been wondering why non-Western countries don't do the same.
There's certainly a never ending list of reasons to do so; I can't help but wonder if perhaps had African countries been lambasting America about their violent policies and actions that Libya wouldn't have happened in a 'silence'. Israel, for example, striking Iran's consulate in Syria wasn't something they could do and then people let them forget that they started it; this is why you have people asking (American and British) government spokespeople about Iran's right to self defense and retaliation.
American journalists travel around the world to go and harass foreign leaders about every little choice they make; are journalists from Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South America trying to get interviews with Western leaders to ask them the same ridiculous questions our journalists ask but getting no response or refused?
I really feel like with a constant microscopic lens on every single awful choice we make, it just gets harder and harder to get away with it. If I HAD to compare it to something, I'd say it feels similar to when an abusive person tries manipulating or threatening an ex or a partner of his in public; it benefits the abuser that his victim is silent and doesn't make a scene. I do also understand that our government intentionally creates rifts between nations so that they're less likely to stand united and to have one anothers' backs. Certainly I'm nearly vocally cheering every time I see African leaders respond to the idiot journalists or politicians we keep sending their way; I'm following an African twitter account and get posts from time to time of the idiot journalists asking either stupid questions or hypocritical ones; for example now with that knowledge of those interviews that occurred, I can wonder (rhetorically) why don't journalists go over and ask African leaders now about their decision not to arrest Putin as per the ICC ruling (the idea being that Western leaders don't want to arrest Netanyahu).
But as I said, I can also understand how countries just want to exist in peace and don't want the headache; it's probably just me being youtube 'debate me brah' brained and wanting to see the global South own the idiot news channels.
The DPRK does and when the western press bothers to cover it they're like "oh ha ha Wacky Korea is doing it again saying we did war crimes in the 50s starvingpeoplesamehaircutpushthetrains oh ho ho back to the real news."
I really hate feeling like I'm being insulated from opinions of people around the world, especially when you realize so many world leaders are actually genuinely geniuses and not the kind of braindead pondscum we get back home.
As other commenters have said, they do bring it up, you just don't hear about it on western media. I've experienced it in former soviet, yugoslavia states.
I'm just guessing that smaller countries are going to miss out over trade deals and the terrible aid that Amerika gives if they complain too loudly. As Amerika weakens, this pressure should lesson. Hopefully the 2030s will be filled with the Global South screaming about US sins.
