Back to watching some Doctor Who; finally managed to make myself watch The Angels Take Manhattan (having watched a part but not the whole thing originally cuz I got annoyed by why they kept reading the book and being stupid), through the Rings of Akhaten now.
Haha, came here to say the same thing. I know Liverpool thrashing Man United doesn't really help our title challenge (a bit more stress on us / another very serious challenger). But I fucking love watching them get humiliated at their place.
I wonder if they are regretting not ditching Erik ten Haag over the summer yet.
As for the spuds, while they're not a bad side on paper and they will take some scalps this season, they are still bottlejobs at their core, and until they can exorcise that demon (hopefully not for a long long time!) they will continue to choke at many key moments.
I agree that Liverpool winning does not help us...but I just hate United that much. Plus our issues this week is due to complete stupidity on all fronts and it's something not within our control. We have a better team.
I missed all but 30mins of the first half. Was gut wrenching to see the notification for Rice getting sent off and conceding a goal.
Havent caught any replays yet and we're traveling back to Bergen today. Any pros and cons of the game other than not taking our chances in the final 3rd?
pros - Kai and Kayo have built up some sort of chemistry together - we might not need an out and out striker. The team did well to limit Brighton's chances even when down to ten men. Partey needs to leave, his underhit pass forced Rice to make a lunge tackle and get his first yellow and during their equaliser he just gave up trying to track back when he could have prevented the rebound from being tapped in.
We limited their chances after the red, and we also created three really good chances. The debate over whether we need someone who will finish them is not new, but on another day Havertz/Saka bury one of those and we win despite the red.
