The CPC isn't letting Elon sell his shitty death trap truck here in China, and even if he could, Dongfeng has an electric truck that's better quality and cheaper so only the most Westoid brained Chinese would consider buying one.
Hell, even the functional Tesla's are a rare sight, because electric cars here are simply outpacing them in terms of reliability and features. BYD has a feature where if you plug a car with an empty battery to a full one, the batteries will level out to around 50% each. Like you can do with a gasoline car. I'm pretty sure if tried that with a Cyber Truck, it voids the warranty and has a 50% chance of bricking one or both of the cars.
I have been enjoying just talking to people I know (all Americans) about how shit Teslas are compared to BYD and other Chinese EVs. They write me off as a CPC fanboy (ok, guilty as charged) not only because they consider Teslas to be a “premium” brand, but also because Americans’ egos can’t let them accept that China is doing something better than them.
I’d like to think that one day I’ll get to see their brains break when they realize that the little that Americans do make is dogshit compared to what China can do. But then again, there’s still way too many Americans who think universal health care is less efficient and leads to worse health outcomes than our current system, so they may all just cope until they die.
My partner called me, extremely confused, when she first saw one. I think she said it looked "like a tank from a really old video game" and I immediately realized what she was talking about.
The design is based on an old Mac game about designing cars, the Cybertruck's profile shape is apparently the design that gave the highest score in wind tunnel tests in game.
I know you've been enjoying all these broke ass cybertrucks. I saw a video the other day of this dude just ripping panels off with his hands. If you slam the doors hard they break, all 4 broke. The FRAME BROKE trying to tow another truck
i've seen two cybertrucks in person. one regularly drives around my smallish town, it has the logo for a lawncare business on the side lmao. bet it's a tax write off cause now it's a "business expense". saw another one the other day at the gas station.
honestly, super unpopular opinion- i like how they look. that's about all i like about them but still
Gonna be amazing to see these at car shows in 30 years in mint condition with the original owners saying "yep, had to trailer'er in cus they won't insure the things, got 375 miles on it before coverage was dropped... love sitting in it... you know they upgraded the firmware so you can use it as a home theater because we can't drive em'.... I miss my grand kids." while they stand and stare at their $100k paperweight.
I literally cannot get it insured because of it being an enormous piece of junk even by the standards of currently produced vehicles, but I still love the truck, please help me lord king Elon
Lord Elon, your holiness, it seems there's been a mistake. It appears your own insurance, Tesla Insurance, does not insure the Cyber Truck. I wouldn't dare insinuate it's a conscious decision on milord's part, or even an oversight, as your geniuousness is incapable of oversights. It must be the incompetent underlings!
