Did my Shadowheart storyline bug out?

Yeah, seems like it bugged. I had to do the same, and we fought and he body was there. There's no cutscene or anything when you kill a companion, but they shouldnt just disappear.

- There is no world in which I kill her, so that will remain a mystery :)
- I have guesses, but I also know that so many instances/apps don't have working spoiler tags. I wanna toss out an idea and see if I'm right but without spoiling anything 😬
  
  I put spoilers in the subject line of my initial post, and used spoilers for the question. Anyone in here has braved those spoilers already.
  As long as you put your reply in spoilers, I think you've done the best that can be expected
