7 0 ReplySodium-based batteries currently have a lower energy density than lithium-based batteries so they are only useful in some applications.
14 0 ReplyMainly for cheaper applications which are not as weight (and size) sensitive. One example is entry level EVs or home energy storage.

It sounds like they need to do a lot more work to increase the cycle life.
