Russia launched a massive missile attack on multiple Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Slovyansk, and Kramatorsk, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure.
Video confirmation that it was intentional
Kh-101 cruise missile debris
Video footage of the missile hitting "Okhmadit" clearly shows that it was the Kh-101 cruise missile.
The characteristic wings on the body and the rounded shape of the nose indicate that it was the Kh-101 strategic missile, which completely refutes the propagandists' versions of the alleged fall of an air defense missile fired from the Patriot air defense system on the hospital.
Also, the trajectory on which the Kh-101 flies clearly demonstrates that the missile is purposefully going to the target, which was a children's hospital.
The war crimes are the point. Russia is trying to promote its view that powers are free to do as they like in war. They're diametrically opposed to any international rules based order, except insofar as such things can be used to their advantage.
Dot to connect: that chestnut about "an in group that the law protects but does not bind, and an out group that the law binds but does not protect".
I have it on good authority that blowing up a children's hospital is actually totally fine and good, if you can argue that at least one of the patients was Hamas or Hamas adjacent.
Fortunately, Russia has a number of childrens' hospitals in range of the newly delivered long range ordinance for Ukraine. So we can go tit-for-tat. Zelensky can announce he saw a Hamas in a Russian NICU unit and level a dozen maternity wards in retribution.
