Google Maps has officially changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America” for U.S. users of the app following an executive action by President Donald Trump.

Apple Maps is also now calling it "Gulf of America"
- I checked and you’re right but it’s weird. If you zoom out far enough it switches back to Mexico.

  He’s right. Zoom in a little bit. If you’re kind of zoomed in, it says America. When you zoom out, it switches to Mexico. I don’t know what they’re playing at.
