Mixed zoning is what makes neighbourhoods walkable and liveable and truly desirable for a much wider range of working-class people from all backgrounds and family sizes; not just the white, upper-class, monoculture-focused, and conformance-obsessed NIMBYs.

There exist NO zoning laws in Iran. Every area is a hodge podge anarchy of bullshit randomly thrown together. Lots of small businesses (which is the norm here). Champagne leftists would coom at the sight of Tehran
And yet it's fucking miserable. Waste, noise, overpopulation. You can't somehow make a city of 15 million people live like tiny European cities where 5 million people is considered a megalopolis
