NYC did this. I haven’t heard any follow up on housing prices falling though. I’m still hoping it’ll help longer term, but I feel like the market won’t allow for prices to immediately self correct. Who knows though, but it’s been almost a year.
Looks like there's still "over 1000" available, so maybe it's not enforced or there's some sort of loophole.
