Maybe, just maybe, every news outlet doesn't need to cover every single thing at the same time. If they report separately on separate events then the firehose becomes a regular faucet agian.
How long ago did they abandon the idea of "a scoop"?

I feel you about them reporting on just the sheer amount of shit he "said".
Like, today, he "said" the US will take over Gaza...no we fucking won't.
Stick to what he "did"/"accomplished", stop spewing out stories about whatever the fuck crazy shit he "said" today, I'm way too tired of it already

What do you think scoop means. If a paper was scooped that means the competition got to it first but they still wrote an article about it. They did not go, oh no we were scooped so no sense in reporting on that.

My point about the scoop was that they know when someone else has already reported on it. They need to then report on something that hasn't been covered yet in order to lessen the "muzzle velocity" effect these assholes want.
You can continue to focus on the wordings of things, or you can start seeing the big picture. It's up to you.
