As other people are saying, that's the point of meditation.
I just started a book, The Art of Living, by Thich Nhat Hahn and he claims that most people don't choose to think their thoughts, thoughts just appear, just like the wind on a rainy day. You can't stop the wind from blowing and you can't stop thoughts from appearing.
The point of meditation is to learn not to 'think' the thoughts that appear.
By tue way I did try this for a year and while i do get the point of it I did not succeed yet.
I hope you're well though!
I just see too much of the same posts and I'm not sure if it's a user issue or not sometimes i reopen the front page after 3 days and 25% of the posts I've already seen plus a lot of posts are about reddit anyway :(
6/10
yeah I've experienced quite the opposite from OP, I notice quite some traffic at the classic reddit-like communities but if i want to talk about some specific topic the subscriber count still seems <100 (example, /c/bready has 334 subscribers
I don't really feel like creating a community for a topic I enjoy which I already see gaining little to no traffic
I guess most people flock to what they already know à la, showerthoughts AITA YSK etc
to me the current state of the feddiverse feels like a circlejerk of people who complain about reddit and praise lemmy over reddit instead of actually submitting engaging content whereas we coul.. wait I'm doing it too now!
hi its me, Jimmy Wales I'm kindly requesting you to give $1.00 to lemmy
