  • That’s kind of wholesome :)

  • Also, are you perchance plural? So are we :)

  • What a stupid argument indeed. 😓 I knew someone who told their friend, TO MY FACE, that non-binary people don’t exist. I guess I’m not real.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

What is the weirdest argument you’ve overheard?

I heard two people arguing about whether or not someone farted.

  • Thanks so much!! I think it’s because I’m neurodivergent, but I can’t say for sure

  • norge @lemmy.world

Er det et språk dere ønsker å lære/dere snakker ved siden av engelsk?

Jeg vet at mange nordmenn snakker engelsk i tillegg til norsk, men er det et annet språk?

  • Oh yeah, I saw those posts...

    Maybe mod could remove them?

  • I knew a girl who tiraba el perro al novio de su amiga, so I guess she also was trying to chapulinear xD

  • I think they know, they’re just weird with the physical touch thing. Maybe it’s a matter of being closer with these people/them being regularly touchy but me, not

  • Kan du forstå meg? (Jeg skriver på norsk, min fars språk. jeg lærer fortsatt, men jeg har hørt at norsk og dansk er veldig like)

  • Makes sense, just found it odd

  • Relationship Advice @lemmy.world

    Physical contact between friends (18nb)

Maybe it’s because a lot of them are girls, but they’re like this with guys too. They are very touchy with each other, but it seems awkward if it’s with me.

I’ve asked for permission and they said they don’t like physical contact, so I obviously don’t.

My friends overall seem closer with each other than with me, but I just find it kind of interesting that they make physical contact a lot but not with me (ex: hugging, holding hands, grabbing arm, etc.)

If someone could help me out, that’d be greatly appreciated! I’m not trying to judge, I genuinely don’t understand, which is why I’m asking here. I do understand some cases such as: “Sorry, I only really allow my boyfriend to do that stuff with me”.

  • What does it look like? I can help you for the one you don’t know.

    Language Learning @sopuli.xyz

App suggestions for vocab that's not Duolingo?

I want a free app to practice and memorize vocabulary but one that also teaches grammar and audio comprehension (I can barely understand sometimes, especially since I don't use Duolingo every day) better than Duolingo does and doesn't make you lose hearts or anything.

    No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

What is a figure of speech you like in your language?

It could also just be English if you only speak English.

    General Discussion @lemmy.world

    Weird guy I know

Random post, also he is quite controversial.

So, this guy I used to be friends with (maybe he gets some slack, I’m 18 and he’s 17) is a very far-right individual.

He doesn’t date trans people (which is fine) but he also thinks that they don’t count as “actual” men/women and that they’re some other category, and says he can’t date them “because he’s bisexual”.

He also heavily criticizes Democrats/non-Trump supporters and praises anyone who supports Trump, even if they’re bad people because he doesn’t believe bad people support Trump?

My friend also says it would make sense for him to be bisexual and support Trump since he heavily prefers women and would therefore “fit in with straight people” and not understand LGBT stuff. He seems to support it as a bi dude but the way he talks about other stuff heavily outweighs his support.

He also believes every non-white person should “go back to where they came from”, that they’re all illegal immigrants (bonus points if they’re Latino), and t

A lot going on, kinda need to let it out

So, like I said in my intro post, I’m pan but I’m technically sapphic and nonbinary.

I was in a NBLW (and open, so I’m allowed to date/have crushes outside of her) relationship with Natalia (19F), but it was long distance so we only talked through social media and texting.

Natalia has stopped answering my messages and overall just stopped being online as much, when she’s online, she doesn’t make time for me, just her friends. She says “Hi, how are you” or “Hi honey” once in a while if I’m in the group chat with her friends, but we barely talk one-on-one and I barely use the group chat.

She said she would check her messages more but hasn’t 😓

At first, her messages were screenshots to her friends of messages between AI bots. She would post romantic messages in her bio that she used to post with me, and acted super embarrassed when I asked her.

Now, all she does is play video games and her recent messages are just scheduling a time and game or gossip with her friend.

    I think we’re

New here, how are you all?

    Hello, I'm Voytek.

I'm non-binary and technically sapphic (pan), IDK if I count but here I am!!

Also, would it be ok to post updates on my (male) crush?? :)

Why do some people in the USA assume all immigrants are illegal and should "go back to where they came from"? Shouldn't that logic apply to all non-Native Americans?

Not everyone thinks this, but I know an extreme right-winger who thinks this. He is also a conspiracy theorist who thinks non-white people are out to get white people so, yeah, odd.

Not every immigrant is illegal or bad. I know a girl who didn't speak English for 3 years when her family legally immigrated, so of course she's been told this.

    Rant @lemmy.sdf.org

I hate how many people are against russian ancestry

Obviously, not everyone is like this, if you’re not like this, I don’t mean you.

You can hate the Russian government or the culture or whatever, but you shouldn’t hate people. You shouldn’t hate people of Russian descent just because of where they came from, because of the language they speak, because of what the russian government is doing.

Why do some people think others are troll just because they don’t like what they have to say?

You may not like their posts but that doesn’t automatically make them a troll. If they’re trying to get a reaction, then yes, but sometimes, these “trolls” aren’t even trolls
