  • shit i wasn't aware, thanks for letting me know.

  • screamo is usually regarded as a different thing than death metal, i think you may just mean deathcore. and to each their own, from a metal listener it’s definitely about the anger but also it’s just pleasant to listen to. the heavy rhythmic elements are really enjoyable and satisfying to listen to. when it comes to the vocals, it’s kinda within the style to sound like that, the vocals are treated as an instrument like the guitars or drums are and usually you aren’t supposed to understand the lyrics anyways.

  • there are problems with nazi presence in extreme metal, and because the genre is so heavily white, cis, and male, it can end up with reactionaries being allowed to stay. but on the other end of extreme metal you can find a lot of queer people and women making great shit as well as bands that are very leftist or at least hold some of those ideals. i myself am a trans woman in the extreme metal scene and it’s really a 50/50 chance if a space is reactionary or not but overall i love the welcoming spaces i’ve found.

  • the super boring and uninspired gigachad “phonk” shit. genuinely terrible music for losers

  • some of the early 00s -core shit (metalcore/deathcore,etc) is weirdly christian. it’s not that present in the music but they’ll mention it on stage or some shit. august burns red is metalcore, but i think is an example of a christian -core band being pretty heavy

  • "people should not be forcibly sent to work or die in battle by their government"

"you're only helping ruZZia by spreading this propaganda, ukrainian people actually want to have their rights taken away and be sent as cannon fodder!"

  • dopethrone is such an awesome album

  • its quickly becoming a favorite, but king gizzard's new album petrodragonic apocalypse definitely ranks up there. overall favorite albums are probably human by death, shed by title fight, or fear of music by talking heads. all of kraftwerk's albums are also pretty close to favorites, especially "the mix", a re-recording of all their hits where they somehow take their masterpieces and make them even better. i own the mix on tape and listen to it almost every day lol

  • and a bigger selection of shitty corn syrup food that's all owned by the same company!

  • china. wasn't there a war game simulation run by the US military against hypothetical chinese military where they literally had to change the rules because the US kept losing or something?

  • yes because the last time free market privatization was introduced in large amounts in eastern europe, it turned out great and now the post soviet countries are all free market utopias!!
