  • IMO this already happened. I've been seeing too many short videos content on reddit lately. That's why I've been slowly abandoning reddit. Eventually API changes made me switch to lemmy which is turning out fine right now.

  • Yeah I did, I don't know why it kept working but it eventually stopped today. Didn't really care as same as you I only kept if out of curiosity and for all times sake. Might finally uninstall when Lemmy version will come out.

  • How do social media companies like twitter or youtube not run out of space for posts?

    I know memory is fairly cheap but e.g. there are millions of new videos on youtube everyday, each probably few hundred MBs to few GBs. It all has to take enormous amount of space. Not to mention backups.
